Côté La Baule is an independent online travel guide covering La Baule-Escoublac, Guérande and the whole Guérande peninsula. Our aim is simple: to give you reliable, current information drawn from our own time on the ground, so you can plan a better stay on the Côte d'Amour.
Everything here is written from our own visits and from years of knowing the area well. We visit every restaurant, hotel and attraction anonymously. Our recommendations are independent: we take no commission, and no business can buy its way into our selections.
Our marks out of ten follow a set of criteria specific to each category. For restaurants: quality of ingredients, creativity, service, setting and value for money. For hotels: location, comfort, service, facilities and value for money. These scores reflect our own judgement and are reviewed regularly.
